Google is increasing the security of its users’ accounts.
Google has currently made available 2-Step Verification (2-Step Verification) feature to its users as an option. Now it will be made mandatory. This will reduce the risk of hacking the Google account.
New Delhi. Internet search engine Google is increasing its security so that the accounts of its users cannot be hacked. Actually, Google will soon enroll its users in Two-Factor Authentication or Two-Step Verification (2-Step Verification). Right now this feature is given by Google to the users as an Optional Feature. Google says that the purpose of this move is to increase security because passwords are the biggest threat to online security.
Passwords are easy to steal, difficult to remember
Google’s Director of Product Management, Identity and User Security, Mark Risher, said in a blog post that you may not know, but passwords are the biggest threat to your online security. They are easy to steal, difficult to remember and difficult to handle. Many people believe that passwords should be as long and complex as possible, but in many cases this actually poses a security risk. He said that when the password is complex, users use it for more than one account. In the US, 66 percent of users have agreed to use the same password on multiple sites. With this, if the password of a single site is hacked, all accounts are at risk.

Google’s 2-Step Verification (2SV) is already available. There is an option to activate it. However, Google will now make this feature mandatory. No date has been fixed for this yet. Recently, Google also launched a new password import feature, which allows users to upload up to 1,000 passwords at once from various third-party sites to Google’s password manager. Along with 2-step verification, features like password import, password manager and security checkup will enhance online security and reduce the difficulty of remembering passwords.
