The ministry has said that now 18-44 year olds need not take online appointment to get vaccinated. If you have already got registered then it is good, otherwise you will have to register at the vaccination center and after that you will get an appointment and vaccine. The ministry has said that there have been reports of vaccine wasting at many places during the online appointment, after which this decision has been taken.
It has been said on behalf of the ministry that all the states and union territories have been informed in this regard. Onsite registration and appointment will be available only after the decision of individual states. That is, the final decision is in the hands of the state government.
