According to the company, support for Windows 10 Home, Pro, Pro for Workstations, and Pro Education will be discontinued on October 10, 2025. This means that after October 2025, users will not get any update or security fix related to it.
What does this decision mean for Windows 10 users?
As far as the shutdown of Windows 10 is concerned, according to the company, there is no problem in using it till 2025. That is, there is still a long time of 4 years left. It may also happen that users will continue to use it easily even after 2025. Microsoft also gave users a lot of time to upgrade from Windows 7.
Coming Windows 11
Let us tell you that when Microsoft launched Windows 10, it said that it would be the last version of Windows. But, the recent teaser of the company suggests that it will launch Windows 11 by the end of this month. Microsoft has also listed a new event on its website, which will take place on June 24. In the event, the company will highlight all the features of the upcoming Windows.
This launch event will start at 8.30 pm Indian time. Microsoft is going to keep most of the things in the new Windows 11 similar to Windows 10. Apart from new icons and themes, it can get Smart Action Center with easy controls to integrate with mobile devices.
