The Sensex market closed on the green mark on the first trading day of the week. The 30-point index Sensex closed with a gain of 76 points or 0.15% and the Nifty gained 22.25 points or 0.14%. After the fall in the morning, the Sensex closed at 52,551.53 points and the Nifty at 15,821 points.
Reliance was the top gainer in the Sensex today. Apart from Reliance, shares of 15 companies including Bajaj Finance, ONGC, Dr Reddy saw a rise. On the other hand, the shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank saw the biggest decline of 1.51% percent. Today the shares of NTPC, HDFC, Sun Pharma have seen a decline.
The start of the stock market in the first trading day of the week was disappointing. On Monday morning, Sensex and Nifty were trading below the red mark. The Sensex with 30 Sensitive Index lost 137 points to open at 52,053 points. At the same time, Nifty also fell 38.60 points and opened at 15.760.80. Last week, the stock market closed with an increase due to a decrease in corona cases and a spurt in vaccination.
Shares of Bajaj Finance saw the biggest fall of 1.41 percent in the Sensex this morning. On the other hand, shares of NTPC, Kotak Bank, Hindustan Unilever opened with a fall. Shares of NTPC, Coal India also saw a decline in Nifty.
