The last date for linking PAN with Aadhaar is June 30, 2021. It is mandatory to link the two for filing income tax return. If PAN card Aadhar Card If not linked, it is likely to become inactive. To activate it after deactivation, you may have to pay a late fee of up to Rs 1000. Let us tell you that before this, the government has extended the date of linking Aadhaar with PAN several times. After several times the deadline was set till March 31, 2021, but to provide relief amid the second wave of corona, the last date was again extended to June 30.
How to do PAN-Aadhaar link
Log on to the new website of Income Tax Return e-filing https://www.incometax.gov.in/. Scroll down a bit and click on ‘Link Aadhaar’ option on the webpage.
After that enter PAN, Aadhar number. After that check the status of Aadhar-PAN link. If it is not linked then if your PAN card is linked to Aadhar card then you will see this confirmation “your PAN is linked to Aadhaar Number”.
If you have not linked Aadhar card and PAN card yet, then you will have to fill your details and your PAN card will be linked with Aadhar card.
