How to remove URLs using Removals tool in Google Search Console ? 

Google Search console has added new Removals option that can be used to remove indexed URLS and pages from Google search results.

Why Google Search console added Romovals tool in google search console :

You will know that before Google Search Console, Google Webmaster tool was used to index the URLs and pages of the website and in it the Removal tool was used to remove indexed URLs and pages in Google.


But google Close that site and create a new google search console but there was no Removals option to remove indexed URLS in that new Google Search Console, then Google has added Removals tool in Google Search Console to have proper Guidance to use it.

How to remove indexed URLS and pages using Google Search Console Removals Tool :

  • First Go to Google  Search Console and sign in .
  • Then in index section at the bottom you can see Removals option  click on that removals option.

    • Select Temporary Removals option and here click on New Request option .

    In Temporary Removal section you must enter url that you have to remove from google search result . Choose first option if you want to remove one particular URL .If you want to remove all URL that prefix specifix keyword then select second option.

    • Then click on next option and just relax google automatically remove your URL(s) From google Search Result .

    Block URL(s) from Google Search results for about six months and clear current snippet and cached version (they’ll be regenerated after the next crawl). For permanent removal, either block pages from indexing or remove them from the site .
